Cooper is 16 years old and has been racing in Legend Cars for about a year and a half. He races with 77 Speed Shop primarily in Georgia but will be participating in televised National events in April, June, July and October, 2023.
Cooper had an exceptional week at the 2023 Winter Nationals held February 13-17, earning top three qualifying positions all week including two poles, three podium finishes and 3rd in overall points for Winter Nationals Young Lions Championship, with only 7 points separating 1st through 3rd place.
Cooper had another great Nationals week at Nashville Spring Series April 12-15. Three 2nd place finishes and one 3rd place finish out of six races. Ended the week 2nd in Nashville Spring Series Young Lions Championship points out of 36 drivers.
In addition to his success at Nationals, Cooper also had multiple podium finishes at Atlanta Motor Speedway Thursday Thunder, winning the 2023 Young Lions Thursday Thunder Championship. He has multiple poles, multiple 1st place, multiple 2nd place, and 3rd place finishes at Lanier Caffeine and Octane. Along with multiple wins and poles at Crisp Motorsports Park. Cooper's consistency is paying off.
Cooper is a now sophomore in high school and maintains a 4.0 GPA while taking AP College level courses and working toward certifications in Engineering. Cooper is committed to success and works hard to ensure he is able to achieve not only his racing goals but also his educational goals.
Cooper comes from a family of firefighters and CGR takes every opportunity to advocate for firefighter causes and charities.
